Sunstone Metals Ltd (ASX:STM)’s Malcolm Norris speaks with Proactive about the expansion of its known mineralisation area at the El Palmar gold-copper discovery in northern Ecuador. Sunstone’s managing director talks about the strong results that have confirmed higher-grade copper and gold zones at El Palmar. The company released assays from several drill holes. As the company drills more holes, it is gaining better understanding of the system. Norris says there are two key messages from the company’s latest announcement: the geometry which looks to be plunging to the north and secondly that it is seeing good consistent runs of higher copper values. The consistent higher copper grade, together with very good gold grades, means that when the company comes to release a gold equivalent number, it could deliver respectable numbers and reinforce mineralisation from surface. The company is still waiting on assays, so there is still plenty of newsflow. Norris also speaks about the results due from its work program at the Bramaderos Project in Southern Ecuador, with assays due in the next couple of weeks
